This course provides an overview of regulation, including classifications of regulations and regulators, roles of regulations, and regulatory tools. It describes regulation of commerce and areas of focus in commercial regulation, the regulation of financial markets, including securities regulation and regulation of financial institutions. Additionally, this course discusses the assessment of costs and benefits of regulation.
