This course discusses the objective of financial statements and the importance of financial reporting standards in security analysis and valuation. It describes the roles of standard-setting bodies and regulatory authorities, including discussion on the trend toward and barriers to convergence of global financial reporting standards. This course covers the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) framework and general requirements for financial statements.
